Owning a Daihatsu Extol Van 2006, the parts when needed are as easy to find as "Rocking Horse Poo". So you then search for who ever you think may have the part, the major car parts companies that supply garages are good, they know a little about a lot of parts, but when it comes to like I require they hit a block, my local garage are great, but hit a wall each time, so I search for what I felt was a sensible idea and looked for specialist alternator companies, I rang a couple left a message but no returned call, until I rang this company and spoke to Tom. I explained what I required, I had part no's, he proceeded to search and found the part but not what he had, so he investigated and I sent a wiring photo so he could check and the one he had in stock he was pretty sure it would fit, justt a few numbers different, and if it didn't I could return it. I ordered the part which included, vat and shipping and it arrived the next day. It was a little bit different in where the power plug was located, but it worked . Quite long winded story, but Tom took the time to make sure he gave me the sort of customer service he would expect, and makes all the difference in the world we live in today. Thank you Tom

The starter motor I required was for a Lister Petter marine engine that has to work in a harsh environment. The starter I needed was in stock, ordered and delivered at a reasonable price was better and faster than my local recognised supplier could supply. Will use again when required without any hesitation.

I have used The Starter Motor and Alt Co several times over the last couple of years, and I have to say their service and knowledge of their products is second to none. I have sent pictures of rusty old tractor and digger starters , and they were able to indentify immediately. I also converted a truck to a moarine application , and Jack spent a LOT of time sorting out a Cummins starter for me which would fit in a restricted space ..... as I recall it was from some kind of Hyundai , and works perfectly. Also delivery is usually next day , and prices very competitive - I wish a few more companies were as efficient as this !!!

Had to call to clarify which alternator I required, call was answered quickly and correct part was identified. Mine was a new part and no part exchange was required, price was considerably cheaper than from main dealer. Part arrived within time scale stated, so all round an excellent service and a good price.

My starter motor failed (after 4yrs of me ignoring most warnings, so my fault ), I call these guys, 1 hour later I’m collecting a new replacement. When I purchased a new alternator for my car the team at the Starter Motor & Alternator company where very helpful with advice. The alternator was compitively priced and was delivered very quickly.

Used many times for replacement units, great service, prompt delivery, even when I encountered a problem it was resolved straight away, excellent service.

Absolutely brilliant service, bought an alternator to fit to a customers narrowboat, unfortunately as i relied on the customer it turned out to be the wrong hand, phoned to explain and recieved the right one the following morning, cant fault the guys in any way, very knowlegeable and professional company, you may get slightly cheaper if you hunt around, but the service and warranty is priceless, so my advice is dont bother, look forward to doing more business with you guys in the future.

Spoke to someone over the phone about the order to make sure I had the right alternator. Very pleasent and knowledgable person. Bought the alternator at a very nice price. Came well packaged, fitted perfectly and worked as it should. It was for a BMW E39 530i. That car has now been sold but I would not hesitate to use this company again if I needed another alternator or starter motor.
